Daz Iray Emission Types

Just a simple graphic demonstrating the difference between emission units in Daz Iray.

Lumens and Watts give a set amount of illumination, regardless of the size of the emissive object; larger objects will require exponentially more Luminance to achieve the same surface appearance. However, these units give excellent control over the light that is cast on the surrounding area.

The x/y^2 units will scale the light based on the size of the emissive object. These are ideal if you want to make multiple objects of differing sizes that all glow with the same intensity.
